Request

In the Spring of 2008 former Deputy Chief of Police Lenny Harper claimed to have found the remains of a dead child at Haut de la Garenne.

Whilst I am aware that this case is now classed as closed since more professional and qualified Police Officers took over, I would still like to know the following:

A

Did the States of Jersey Police have any names of missing children up to the time of Lenny Harper's announcement who could have been the victim(s) of foul play?

B

Has anybody gone to the States of Jersey Police in the past 12 years and reported any named children as permanently missing solely in connection with Lenny Harper's above claim?

Response

A

The States of Jersey Police’s records show no missing children during this period of relevance to the Haut de la Garenne enquiry.

B

No
