The number of attraction businesses that signed up to the Visitor Attractions and Event scheme. Please can these figures be broken down to a weekly basis from the launch of the scheme on 5 January.

The number of events businesses that signed up to the Visitor Attractions and Events Scheme. Please can these figures be broken down to a weekly basis from the launch of the scheme on 5 January.

The amount of money given out as a result of the Visitor Attractions and Events Scheme.

The number of businesses that applied to the Visitor Attractions and Events scheme and were turned down.

Response

The Visitor Attractions and Events Scheme is designed to provide substantial support for the Island's events and attractions providers. On the basis that the maximum support available to any particular business under the scheme is £250,000, to qualify for this scheme, businesses need to satisfy key criteria in order to assess their detriment. We are not categorising applicants as either ‘attractions’ or ‘events’. Please see overall data in response to request C.

C

Data is not recorded on a weekly basis. The total number of completed applications received in January was two. The total number of completed applications received between 1 to 8 February 2021 is zero.

D

The total of all payments made up to and including Monday 8 February 2021 is £15,156.45

E

From the launch of the scheme to 8 February, both companies that have submitted a complete application for funding have been deemed eligible to meet the requirements of the scheme.
