Given that a number of cases of Covid-19 testing positive are coming from planned workforce screening, and that it takes time to assess contacts, how many of the workforce screening positives in January 2021 were of an unknown community source, and what was the total from planned workforce screening in the same timeframe?

Response

During January 2021, 102 positive cases were identified through workforce screening. (1 January 2021 to 31 January 2021 inclusive)

93 of these individuals had a total of 382 direct contacts identified.

Nine individuals had no direct contacts identified.

34 direct contacts of workforce screening positive cases in January 2021 tested positive.
