Sea Cadets Government Spending
How much funding do the Sea Cadets get per year from tax payer funds?
What is the total amount Sea Cadets have received in the last five years from tax payer funds?
How much did it cost to renovate the old police station for the Sea Cadets new temporary home, again from tax payer funds?
The following table details the funding received by the Sea Cadets from the Government of Jersey (GOJ) over the last five years.
|Funds received by Sea Cadets |
*GOJ paid a one off grant for £12,000 in 2019 for property maintenance.
£457,844 has been spent to make areas of the old police headquarters safe for operation by the Sea Cadets.
The work was primarily on the electrical distribution system, fire alarms and emergency lighting. The works were tendered and represent better value than the sums that would have been required to make the previous Sea Cadet’s premises acceptable.
