Request

A

Is Jeremy Macon still Education Minister?

B

If not, is there an Education Minister? And if so who?

C

Is Jeremy Macon still a member of the Council of Ministers?

I understand the Chief Minister has "assumed responsibility" for the Education Department but the States Assembly and www.Gov.je website show Jeremy Macon as still being Education Minister and a Member of the Council of Ministers.

Response

A and B

Deputy Macon is still the Minister for Children and Education. However, he is not currently performing the associated ministerial duties, which are being discharged by the Chief Minister and the Assistant Ministers, Deputies Wickenden and Pointon.

C

Yes. However, as per 'A' and 'B' above, he is not currently performing any duties.
