Can you tell me how many prisoners convicted of a sexual offence have been granted ROTL in the last ten years?

Response

Eight prisoners convicted of offences that were categorised as sex offences, have been granted Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) in the last ten years.

It should perhaps be noted that the ROTL Panel treat public safety as paramount and every application for ROTL is subjected to rigorous multi agency assessment process to ensure that any risk to public safety can be safely managed while a prisoner is released on licence.
