Response

School leavers destination data is not available as a full data set or in a reportable format for the purposes of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011. Available data on destination schools is provided in the response below.

B

The table attached provides the previous establishment recorded at each primary and secondary school.

School leavers destination data

To note:

  • the Academic Year listed in column B is the academic year recorded in which the pupil joined at the Destination School that is listed in Column C.

  • columns D onwards provide the recorded establishment the pupil previously attended.

  • values of fewer than five have been redacted to avoid identifying individuals. The Department has determined identifying the exact figure would likely breach the privacy of the individuals. Article 25 (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has therefore been applied. The count of pupils has been provided in numbers rather than percentages for the same reason.

  • pupils with no recorded previous establishment are identified as ‘0’.

C

The table attached provides the number of pupils recorded at each postcode and the relevant academic year.

Post Codes breakdown

This data only includes where there are more than five pupils at each postcode as the Department has determined it would likely breach the privacy of the individuals. Article 25 (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has therefore been applied.

Additionally, the following previous FOI responses are available for information:

Key Stage 1 attainment statistics (FOI)

There is no standardised attainment data from schools for 2020 as there were no Key Stage 2 tests due to the pandemic. Primary schools instead used a range of internal tests to establish attainment gaps.
