C

Response

A

Since 01 January 2020, fewer than five patients under 18 years old have been admitted to Jersey General Hospital with a coded primary diagnosis of Covid-19. Note that clinical coding of diagnosis is performed at or soon after the point of discharge so patients still in hospital or recently discharged from hospital may not yet have been coded and would therefore not appear in this count of patients. Due to the small number of cases, disclosure control has been applied to avoid breaching the privacy of individuals involved. Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

B

Mortality statistics are routinely published at the link below. Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has therefore been applied.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) data for Jersey (gov.je).

C

Hospital admissions data does not record the occupation of patients. This information is not held as per Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

D

Covid-19 mortality statistics do not record the occupation of those who have died. This information is not held as per Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

Articles applied

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.

(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.

Article 25 - Personal information

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.
