Could you please give details of the amount of money that has been given in grants from Jersey Sport to Jersey Reds Rugby Club over the past five years and whether there are any ongoing financial commitments to give regular grants to the Jersey Reds Rugby club from Jersey Sport.

Jersey Sport does not give grants to the Jersey Reds Rugby Club.

The Government of Jersey has provided financial support to the Jersey Reds Rugby Club.

Details of the amount of money that has been given in grants by the Government of Jersey to the Jersey Reds Rugby Club over the past five years is available on www.gov.je in response to a previous Freedom of Information request. Therefore Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

Funding received by Jersey Rugby Club (FOI)

Details for future funding commitments to the Jersey Reds Rugby Club can be found in the Government Plan 2021–2024 on page 199. Currently there is £50,000 of revenue expenditure allocated towards securing professional rugby in Jersey for 2022.
