Response

Government of Jersey officials have been aware since 2017 of Jersey Telecoms (JT) business strategy to launch the “Internet of Things” (IoT) business as a separate business division and the growth plans for that division.

In briefings held on 3 and 6 November 2020, JT informed Government of Jersey officials of the work involved in separating the IoT business from the rest of the JT Group and that the Board of JT were exploring the option of selling the IoT business.
