Please will the Treasury and Resources Department state how many people had their public sector pension payment delayed at the end of September 2021?


The processing of the pensioner payroll is undertaken by Customer and Local Services on behalf of Treasury and Exchequer as administrator for the Public Employees Pension Fund (PEPF). There were 253 individuals out of over 8,000 that had their monthly public service pension payments delayed at the end of September 2021. All those impacted received payment no later than 4 October 2021.

There is an investigation ongoing into how this issue occurred.
