Northern Leaf, Retreat Farm were granted a license to cultivate medicinal cannabis in December 2020. This was subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) being provided for the site and the proposed activities. Can you please provide me with a copy of the EIA.

Response

The Environmental Impact Assessment was provided to the Minister of Health and Social Services by Northern Leaf as part of their Medicinal Cannabis Licence Application. The Assessment was provided in confidence and is therefore exempt from publication under Article 26 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it was obtained by the scheduled public authority from another person (including another public authority); and

(b) the disclosure of the information to the public by the scheduled public authority holding it would constitute a breach of confidence actionable by that or any other person.
