Further to my previous request, I should like to know, if figures are available, the mintage figures for Jersey coins dated 1971 to 2012, in each denomination.
For the purposes of this response we have defined “mintage” as the date that is physically stamped on a coin. In line with the Treasury and Exchequer retention policy, correspondence in relation to the production of coins is only retained for a period of 10 years.
The table below sets out the mintage dates of all coins between 2012 and 2021 (10 years).
|Year on coin ||1p||2p||5p||10p||20p||50p||£1||£2|
|2012 / 2013||3,340,000 ||320,000 ||1,142,000 ||420,000 ||1,017,500 ||360,000 ||5,000 ||5,000|
|2014 / 2015||720,000||360,000 ||862,000 ||420,000 ||600,000 ||240,000 ||-||-|
|2016||8,580,000 ||720,000 ||1,499,919||490,000 ||1,450,000||120,000 ||-||-|
