Please could you release the number of hate crimes that were reported in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 - breaking down the numbers per year.

Please can you also specify how many were related to racism and how many were related to sexuality in each of the years.

¹ For the purpose of this disclosure, sexuality includes incidents of homophobia or transphobia. A previously released Freedom of Information response provides data specific to incidents of transphobia and is available at: Reported hate crimes (FOI)

² One incident involved both an element of racism and homophobia. This explains why the total number of hate crimes remain at 29 rather than 30.
