Government Directors on secondment (FOI)

Government Directors on secondment (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 24 February 2022.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

Please provide the figure for how many Director Generals, Directors and Group Directors have been individuals on secondments each year since 2017. Please break this down by internal/external secondments (i.e. from a UK government or NHS post).

Of these individuals, how many had i) a contract extension ii) were given a permanent contract at the conclusion of their secondment?

Response

Based on the information held centrally within HR systems, no individuals employed were on secondment in Tier 0-2 levels in the Government between 2017 and 2021.  These tiers include Chief Executive Officer to Group Director level.

However, please note that secondment data was extracted from the central system, which may not include all secondments.  It is estimated that to undertake any further reviews of records held would exceed the time limit prescribed under Regulation. Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Law) 2011 has been applied.

Article Applied

Article 16 - A scheduled public authority may refuse to supply information if cost excessive

A scheduled public authority that has been requested to supply information may refuse to supply the information if it estimates that the cost of doing so would exceed an amount determined in the manner prescribed by Regulations.
