PPE to non-Government organisations (FOI)

Produced by the Bailiff's Chamber
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 05 April 2022.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

On 21 Feb 2022, the Health Minister said: "The proposed date for tending the temporary provision of free PPE to non-government organisations is being reviewed..."
For each month, from January 2018 to date, please confirm how much money the government has spent providing PPE to non-government organisations.
Please also confirm what type of PPE was offered (eg gloves: £a, aprons £b, masks £c etc)

Response

Distribution of PPE to Non-Government Organisations (NGO’s) commenced in April 2020.
The tables below provide details of PPE items distributed to Non-Government Organisations by the Government of Jersey during 2020 and 2021 free of charge. The price of individual items varied according to a number of factors including item design and quality, when it was purchased, and supplier. As such an average price has been used to give an approximate value of cost.
It is estimated that to provide any further breakdown would exceed cost limit provisions allowed under Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 and the 12.5 hours limit allowed under Regulation 2(1) of the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014.
Records of items distributed to NGOs have been maintained during the CV19 pandemic.
