Request

What is the quality threshold (error rate) applied when assessing if Assessment Reports produced by the Children's Service should be submitted? eg are 10 errors 'acceptable' ? 100 ?

Response

There is no formal quality threshold (error rate) applied to assessment reports produced by Children’s Social Care.

We aim to record factually accurate information in all reports with zero errors.

Authors are expected to check their assessment report for errors, either factual or grammatical, the report then follows a sign-off process involving the line manager who also checks the quality of the assessment report before it is released.

The author would also share the assessment report with the subjects of the report as appropriate and make corrections if any inaccuracies are noted at that point about the factual content or grammar.
