Response
After an extensive search, we have not found any information relating to a meeting of the public accounts committee on 6 August 2015 where Connetable Taylor declared a conflict of interest in relation to the Sea Cadets.
We do, however, have a record of a meeting of the public accounts committee dated 26 February 2015 where “The Committee noted a declaration of interest from Connetable C.H. Taylor as a member of the Jersey Sea Cadets”.
We also have a record of a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee dated 18 May 2015 where “Connétable C.H. Taylor restated his previously declared indirect conflict of interest regarding the Sea Cadets, having noted that a project to relocate the Sea Cadets to Port Galots, St. Helier was to be raised during the course of the Committee’s public hearings on Financial Directions. The declaration was duly noted by the Committee.”
Copies of the minutes of these meetings are available in full below.
