Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 23 August 2022.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

In England, statistics are available, by year and principal offence, to show the total number of victims right to review received following a decision not to prosecute and, as a result of these requests, the number of these original decisions overturned. Please provide these statistics for Jersey for the last five years. If it is not possible to provide by offence, the total number of decisions overturned will suffice.

Response

The States of Jersey Police does not hold the information requested. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

Article applied

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a) it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b) it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
