Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 21 November 2022.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

How much was spent during each 2019, 2020, 2021 respectively on fitting in place electric charging points in public car parks and multi-storeys?

Response

The fitting of vehicle charging units in the Government of Jersey public car parks is a commercial enterprise carried out by Jersey Electricity Company (JEC).

The Car Parks team, within Infrastructure, Housing and Environment (IHE), supports the installation of the units by JEC, as part of the Sustainable Transport Policy, but do not contribute towards them.

IHE do not hold the requested information and Article 10 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

However, it may be held by the JEC so you might wish to send your request in writing to the details shown below.

It should be noted that JEC is not a Scheduled Public Authority (SPA), therefore, they are not required to respond under Freedom of Information legislation.
