Request

Has Jersey sent any money to Ukraine and if so, what are the details of all of the transactions?

Response

The question has been interpreted as a request for detail of the funding raised though the Bailiff’s Ukraine Appeal, the contribution by the Government of Jersey and the allocation of Jersey Overseas Aid’s emergencies budget to the humanitarian response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

£2,716,434 is the total amount awarded for humanitarian grants in response to the Ukraine crisis in 2022 from Jersey Overseas Aid, Jersey Government and the Bailiff's Ukraine Appeal.

The funding recipient, detail of each specific grant, the destination (Inside Ukraine or neighbouring countries) can be found in the following link, which is updated on a regular basis. Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.
