Ministers keep talking about their Private Secretaries and their offices. I would like a breakdown please of the number of people employed in all of the Ministers offices by salary level and the name of the role and which Ministers they support.

Response

The twelve Ministers and seven Assistant Ministers are supported by the following team:

  • 13 Assistant Private Secretaries and Private Secretaries graded between Grade 10 – 12, on salaries between £51,245.45 - £69,137.80
  • 5 Research and Administration Officers Graded 6 – 8, on salaries between £31,329.53 - £44,218.50.
