As of 1 December 2022. what is the number of established Consultants and Registrars and what is the number of locum Consultants and Registrars in Health and Community Services, broken down by medical area, including the latter's cost and equivalent salary grades. during November 2022?

Please note that 'Specialty Doctor' is now used in place of 'Registrar'. Specialty Doctors may also be identified as 'Staff Grade' in the tables. 

Table 1 shows the substantive count of Consultants, Associate Specialist and Specialty Doctors employed by Health and Community Services (HCS), by department for November 2022.

Table 2 shows the total number of Locum Consultants and Specialty Doctors contracted throughout November 2022, by role and area. Contracts for locum staff providing cover vary in duration, and contracts for staff in any single named area may not run concurrently.
