Please set out, by appointment, the consultant posts currently vacant due to the individual being suspended and the date of the suspension of the individual consultants currently suspended. 

Please do not hide behind the issue of personal confidentiality, as it is important for the public to know how many consultants have been suspended in order that the public can have the confidence that each post is currently filled by a competent, temporary replacement (locum).

Response

There are no Consultant post vacancies due to suspension.

Government of Jersey employees are entitled to protection of their personal information under Data Protection legislation. Holders of specified posts may be identifiable and providing details pertaining to investigations or disciplinary procedures could breach the privacy of individuals. Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018; and

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
