With reference to the Long Term Care Scheme, please confirm the standard weekly care cost allowance for category 4 level for 2020 and 2023 for both residential and domiciliary care.

The LTC benefit rates are publicly available on the Jersey Law website. Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied. Please see the following link:

The 2023 rate for level 4 care is £1266.37 per week.

This rate is paid for care delivered in a care home or group home setting.

For care delivered in the person’s own home, the rate is up to a maximum of £1,266.37 per week.

The equivalent figure for 2020 is £1,082.55 per week.

The above figures are for care costs only and do not include the weekly cost of living in a care home.

Article 23 - Information accessible to applicant by other means

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.

(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
