The Government of Jersey has provided financial support to the Jersey Rugby Club which, since 2012, has covered both the professional team of Jersey Reds and the amateur club, Jersey Rugby Football Club (JRFC).

Details of the amount of money that has been given in grants by the Government of Jersey to the Jersey Rugby Club is available on www.gov.je in response to previous Freedom of Information requests, which can be accessed via the links below. Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has therefore been applied.

As per the previous Freedom of Information response, the Government Plan 2021-2024 committed to allocating £50,000 towards securing professional rugby in 2022. This information is available on page 199 of the Plan, which can be accessed via the link below.  This was allocated in 2022 and formed part of a tapering grant which has now ended, and no further grant payments have been made or are scheduled.
