Request

In accordance with the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 on public authorities, I would be grateful if you could supply me with the following information:

How many prisoners convicted of drug offences have been granted ROTL (released on temporary licence) in the last five years?

Response

From 2010 to 2015, 80 prisoners convicted of offences that were categorised as drug offences, have been granted Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL). These prisoners would have gone through a rigorous multi-agency assessment process to ensure that they are now drug free and will remain so for the duration of their licence.
