Can you please explain why the Governor's office is considered outside the Freedom of Information. It is a government office and should therefore fall under the same rules surely?

Response

The Office of the Lieutentant-Governor is not a scheduled public authority specified in Schedule 1 to the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 and the Office is therefore not covered by the Law.

The Office of the Lieutentant-Governor is not a government office, it is the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor. The Lieutenant-Governor is appointed by Her Majesty the Queen for a five-year term and is the representative of Her Majesty the Queen in Jersey.
