It should be noted that where a refuge island has three crossing legs it has been counted as three (as at the junction of St. Saviour’s Road and Stopford Road) and where there is a staggered entry and exit from a refuge island it has been counted as two (for example Victoria Avenue 20 metres north of the Burger Bar building).
