Please provide all of the correspondence between the Government of Jersey and online retailers Amazon, Very, Hello Fresh and eBay, dated between today's date and 1 January 2019. 

Please also include and meeting notes, records or minutes taken or made after any face-to-face, telephone or Teams and Zoom meetings between the previously mentioned organisations.

Response 

Correspondence with individual taxpayer entities is confidential under Article 8 of the Revenue Administration (Jersey) Law 2019, which prohibits the disclosure of any information obtained under a Revenue Law, including the GST Law, for any purpose other than that for which it was obtained, and by virtue of the oaths of office sworn by the Comptroller of Revenue; the Agent of the Impots; and their officers.  Article 6 of the Revenue Administration Law and Schedule 1 apply to Revenue Jersey; and Schedule 2 of the Customs and Excise (Jersey) Law 1999 applies to Jersey Customs.

The requested information is accordingly exempt from publication under Article 29 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011, which states that information is absolutely exempt if the disclosure is prohibited by an enactment.

Article 29 - Other prohibitions or restrictions

Information is absolutely exempt information if the disclosure of the information by the scheduled public authority holding it –

(a) is prohibited by or under an enactment;

(b) is incompatible with a European Union or an international obligation that applies to Jersey; or

(c) would constitute or be punishable as a contempt of court.
