Teachers in secondary schools and colleges in Jersey are often non-specialists in the subjects they teach. 

Please advise how many non-specialist teachers teach GCSE and A Level subjects.

Please provide the breakdown by each school and college and by subject for academic year 2023 to 2024.

Response 

This information is not held by the Government of Jersey in a reportable format. It has been estimated that to undertake a search each staff member’s personnel file to produce the data requested would take in excess of 12.5 working hours therefore Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

(1)     A scheduled public authority that has been requested to supply information may refuse to supply the information if it estimates that the cost of doing so would exceed an amount determined in the manner prescribed by Regulations.
