Exam results appeal process (FOI)

Exam results appeal process (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 06 September 2023.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

Please advise how to appeal a wrong grade for GCSEs and A Levels and why is there no information on the Government of Jersey website.

Response

The Government of Jersey does not own the appeals process for appealing exam grades as these are determined by the exam boards. The student’s school should be contacted in the first instance to determine which exam board was used and they can then advise the appeal route.
