Attorney General Directive 1/98 (FOI)

Attorney General Directive 1/98 (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 02 November 2023.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

Please provide a copy of Attorney General Directive 1/98 on the subject of personal amounts of Class B and C controlled drugs which might be dealt with by Parish Hall Enquiry.

Response

The Government of Jersey does not hold a copy of the Attorney General Directive 1/98 therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies. While this may be held by the Law Officers Department, that Department is not a Scheduled Public Authority under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 and therefore does not have a duty to disclose any information in response to a request under the law.

There is a supplemental direction and guidance from the Attorney General on the same topic issued in April 2022. This is available from the Parish Hall Enquiries section of this web page:

Attorney General's guidelines and directives (gov.je)
