At a meeting of the Havre Des Pas Improvement Group held on 4 May 2022, [name redacted] from the Infrastructure, Housing and Environment Department revealed plans to "regenerate" South Hill Park, St Helier (a Grade 2 Listed Place, HER Reference: HE1898). These plans included the following: 

  1. "Introducing new toilets"; 
  2. "Removing some of the trees which have grown too large and are blocking views and depriving plants of light"
  3. "The possibility of locating the proposed skate park at the top of the park in the area currently occupied by the learner drivers’ reversing bays (which would need to be relocated, possibly at La Collette)".

Please supply the following:

Any correspondence (including emails, letters, memos and so on) between the start of 2022 and the date when this Freedom of Information request is completed, that has taken place between [name redacted] or any senior manager at IHE on the one hand, and the Minister of Infrastructure, the Minister of Environment, or any of the Assistant Ministers for Infrastructure or Environment on the other hand where the subject of the correspondence was the proposed regeneration of South Hill Park, particularly the three plans highlighted above in quotation marks.

Any correspondence in any form between the start of 2022 and the date when this Freedom of Information request is completed, that has taken place between the Natural Environment Team, Department of the Environment on the one hand, and [name redacted] or any senior manager at IHE on the other hand where the subject of the correspondence was the proposed regeneration of South Hill Park, particularly the three plans highlighted above in quotation marks.

Various searches were conducted on the email back up system (Cryoserver), which holds copies of all emails sent and received by Government of Jersey staff.

The account of the requested party was searched using the following keywords:

There were 5,730 search results obtained and it has been estimated that it would take in excess of the 12.5 hours allowed for Freedom of Information responses in accordance with Regulation 2 (1) of the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014 to extract the data.  

Therefore, Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied and your request will not be processed further.
