Patient leave risk assessments for Orchard House (FOI)

Patient leave risk assessments for Orchard House (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 01 March 2024.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

Please advise how many patient leave risk assessments were completed by Staff Nurses at Orchard House granting patients leave during 2021 and 2022.

Response

There is no central record of risk assessments for in-patient leave from Orchard House. This information will be documented within individual care records. A Scheduled Public Authority is not obliged to create new datasets or manipulate existing data to address Freedom of Information requests. As records are not held in a format that allows for this information to be discerned without manual interrogation, and as examining the records of all individuals in scope would exceed the timescales prescribed in the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014, Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

Article applied

Article 16 - A scheduled public authority may refuse to supply information if cost excessive

(1) A scheduled public authority that has been requested to supply information may refuse to supply the information if it estimates that the cost of doing so would exceed an amount determined in the manner prescribed by Regulations.
