The Parish of Trinity has or had a loan facility from the Government of Jersey up to £900,000. The States must have a copy of the loan facility agreement/contract with terms of repayment and interest. Please provide a copythe loan agreement showing hte terms of repayment and interest rate applied.

​Response

A loan facility of up to £900,000 was issued to the Parish of Trinity in 2009, the loan was repaid in full over five years ago.

Simple interest of 4% per annum was payable on the loan.

The Treasury and Exchequer document retention policy states that loan agreements would be retained for five years after the contract terminated and after which they would be destroyed. This information is therefore not held, and Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority​
