Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 25 May 2016.

Request

I would like to know:

The number of males and females proceeded against in 2014 and 2015 for offences relating to installing or using a television receiver without the appropriate licence versus the number of males and females found guilty for the same offence (with result or sanction)?

Response

In 2014, there were 14 prosecutions for having ‘No TV licence’.

All received cautions at the Parish Hall.

Of the 14, eight were male and six were female.

There were no prosecutions in 2015.
