Guernsey waste correspondence (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 27 May 2016.

Request

I would like to see all correspondence held by the Department for Infrastructure between it and the States of Guernsey (any department and individuals) regarding the possible burning of Guernsey’s waste in the Jersey energy for waste plant between 2007 and 2010.

Response

The Department for Infrastructure has determined that this information is exempt under Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011, as it is estimated that it will take in excess of 12.5 hours to collect the information.

Exemption applied

Article 16:  A scheduled public authority may refuse to supply information if cost excessive
(1) A scheduled public authority that has been requested to supply information may refuse to supply the information if it estimates that the cost of doing so would exceed any fee of an amount determined in the manner prescribed by Regulations for the purposes of Article 15.
