Please can you confirm the total cost(s) of travel taken by Senator Maclean returning from Europe, possibly Switzerland by private taxi, when his air travel was delayed by the ash cloud.
Please confirm if the cost(s) were sanctioned by the Chief Officer John Richardson.

Response

Senator Alan Maclean was away from the office on annual leave during the period of delays caused by the ash cloud. Any costs incurred whilst travelling at this time were paid personally by the Minister and not by the States of Jersey.
