1. How many children are on the SEN register in all states primary schools in year 6 and private primary schools year 6.
2. How many children are on the SEN register in all states secondary schools in year 7 and private secondary schools year 7
Response
1. There are 138 pupils on the SEN Register in Year 6 in all Government of Jersey Primary Schools.
2. There are 123 pupils on the SEN Register in Year 7 in all Government of Jersey Secondary Schools.
Please note the SEN data includes:
- All Year 6 and Year 7 pupils as of the autumn census 2024/2025 (20/09/2024)
- All Government of Jersey schools (includes special schools and alternative provision)
- All pupils with Record of Need or SEN Support
- Non-provided schools (‘Private’ schools) have not been included in the above numbers, as the Government of Jersey are not required under the Freedom of Information law to provide this information.
