Battle of Flowers Ltd. and the Battle of Flowers (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 19 January 2015.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

I would like to see a copy of the completed report compiled for the Economic Development Department by Sara Felton on the Jersey Battle of Flowers Ltd, and the running of the Jersey Battle of Flowers.

I can confirm that the department holds the information you are seeking.

However, Article 36 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 exempts this information. This is because the information is intended for publication at a future date.

The report is currently in draft form and, once a final version has been received and distributed to stakeholders, it will be published in the reports section on in February 2015.

Having considered the public interest, the department's decision is, therefore, to withhold this information.

Article 36 Information intended for publication

 (1)    Information is qualified exempt information if, at the time when the request for the information is made, the information is being held by a public authority with a view to its being published within 12 weeks of the date of the request.

 (2)    A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant –

(a)     of the date when the information will be published;
(b)     of the manner in which it will be published; and
(c)     by whom it will be published.

(3)    In this Article, “published” means published –

(a)     by a public authority; or
