Please note results are reported in the year that students complete Year 13, however results may have been gained when the student was in a previous year

Where a student has achieved more than one qualification of the same subject group, only their best result has been included

The Department has determined that to disclose small numbers would likely breach the privacy of individuals and therefore, Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) 2011 Law has been applied

Article applied

Article 25 - Personal information

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018; and

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.

Internal Review request

Hi thanks for this.

I was asking for the subject results by school:

β€œThe existing data is by school aggregated for all subjects

Please could this info be published on a subject by subject basis

To reduce work, I’d be happy to see on A -levels only”

So, for example:

Victoria College

Maths

% for each grade

Thanks

Internal Review Response

This internal review was undertaken by a panel consisting of two Government of Jersey officials of appropriate seniority who had not been involved in the original decision.

As part of the panels review, they were expected to understand the reasons behind the original response, impartially determine whether the response should be revised, and how so, considering the request and the information held, any relevant exemptions, or other relevant matters under the Law.

The Internal Review Panel was asked to review the response provided and confirm the following:

Does the FOI request relate to a body to which the Law applies, or information held by a body covered by the Law? If the answer is no, all the other questions are not applicable.

The internal review panel determined the answer to this was yes. The FOI does relate to a body of which the law applies.

Further questions:

1. Was the right information searched for and reviewed?

Yes.

2. Was the information supplied appropriately ?

Yes.

3. Was information appropriately withheld in accordance with the articles applied and were the public interest test/ prejudice test properly applied?

Yes.

Article 25 was applied appropriately given the need to protect personal data from disclosure. A public interest test / prejudice test was not required as this is an absolute exemption.

This was noted in the original response and complies with the law.

The internal review panel were satisfied that the original response as provided is correct. Therefore, the original response has been upheld.
