Request 698291271
Please provide all data gathered during the recent consultation conducted by the Minister for International Development concerning a National Day and a Jersey Anthem.
Specifically, I request a breakdown of all alternative suggestions for a Jersey Anthem (other than “Beautiful Jersey”), including the number of respondents who made each suggestion.
I would appreciate if this data could be provided in an accessible format, such as a spreadsheet or similar.
Response
It is not possible to provide all the raw data (including comments) collected by the consultation survey for the following reasons due to the excessive amount of time it would take to collate and analyse the raw data. For this reason Article 16 of the Freedom of Information Law has been applied.
However, we can provide the following detail:
Total Responses (2,466)
|
| Yes | No | Unsure |
Liberation Day | 2007 | 203 | 256 |
Beautiful Jersey | 1237 | 870 | 359
|
Song | Number of Responses (Online Survey) |
Beautiful Jersey | 541 |
God Save the King | 39 |
Ma Normandie | 15 |
Island Home | 12 |
Take That Grouville | 8 |
Proud to be a Bean | 3
|
This is a breakdown of online survey responses. Note that not all respondents expressed a preference for an anthem in the survey. Bulk responses from the same IP address were counted as one response.
The consultation also received 1,252 paper responses which have not been included in this breakdown for the reason explained above.
Article applied
Article 16 - A scheduled public authority may refuse to supply information if cost excessive
(1) A scheduled public authority that has been requested to supply information may refuse to supply the information if it estimates that the cost of doing so would exceed an amount determined in the manner prescribed by Regulations.
(2) Despite paragraph (1), a scheduled public authority may still supply the information requested on payment to it of a fee determined by the authority in the manner prescribed by Regulations for the purposes of this Article.
(3) Regulations may provide that, in such circumstances as the Regulations prescribe, if two or more requests for information are made to a scheduled public authority –
(a) by one person; or
(b) by different persons who appear to the scheduled public authority to be acting in concert or in pursuance of a campaign, the estimated cost of complying with any of the requests is to be taken to be the estimated total cost of complying with all of them.
