Response

The cost of an 999 ambulance call out

The cost of a 999 Ambulance attendance is not calculated due to the complexity of the service, with each Ambulance attendance requiring different resources and cross departmental costs. Therefore, this information is not held and Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

The average time it takes for a 999 attendance at a non urgent call, for example, a fall with no injury

All 999 calls are classified as Emergency calls and will receive a response from the States of Jersey Ambulance Service. Under the Ambulance Response Programme (ARP), Emergency calls are categorised into four categories which are available at this link.

The table below shows the average response times for each category in 2024.

Government StandardAverage Response Time
CAT1 0:06:44
CAT2 0:10:05
CAT3 0:26:56
CAT4 0:41:56
