Staff budget for the HCS 24 service is not specifically attributed to the handling of calls for CAS alarm management alone, and the costs of such activity are indistinct from the overall service offering. Therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
The 2025 total staff budget for call handling (Care Navigators and the Team Coach) for the HCS 24 service is ÂŁ662,449.

The average cost of an ED attendance is ÂŁ265, using the latest available cost modelling from 2022 activity.

Based upon the latest available cost modelling from 2022 activity, the average daily cost of admission was ÂŁ1,428. This considers activity across all types of wards, and the costs of elective and emergency admissions. These include ward staffing, medical staff, drugs, diagnostic tests, theatre operating, and indirect and overhead costs.
