Subject: FOI Request – High Value Residency Applications by Israeli Nationals (Nov 2023–Present)
Dear Freedom of Information Officer,
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.
Please provide the number of applications received for High Value Residency (also referred to as “2(1)(e)” or “Regulation 2(1)(e)” residential status) from individuals of Israeli nationality (including dual nationals) or members of their immediate family (i.e. spouse/partner or dependent children) during the period from 1 November 2023 to the date of this request.
If available, please also provide:
1. The number of such applications that have been approved or refused during this period.
2. The number of applications from individuals of Israeli nationality (including dual nationals) or members of their immediate family (i.e. spouse/partner or dependent children) that remain under consideration or have been withdrawn.
3. Any statistical breakdowns available (e.g. by month or quarter) for the same period.
I understand that personal details of applicants are exempt from disclosure under data protection provisions, and I am not requesting any identifying information.

For questions 1-3 the number is <5. Where numbers are small, disclosure control has been applied to protect the privacy of individuals. Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –
(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018; and
(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.​
