How many prisoners convicted in Jersey to sentences in HM La Moye have been transferred to UK prisons in each of the last five years?
Which prisons have they been transferred to?
Response
Once the decision has been made to transfer a prisoner from La Moye, the number of transfers to the UK are determined and controlled by the Population Management Unit at HMPS in the UK.
The number of transfers for the last five years is:

| 2025 | 2024 | 2023 | 2022 | 2021 |
Transfers | 5 | 6 | 11 | 15 | 14
|
The prison do not hold data on which prisons they have been transferred to. Transferred prisoners’ locations are determined by the Population Management Unit at HMPS in the UK. Therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
