Request 712538793

1) What other departments in government have a premium rate (defined as incurring a cost to the caller via a ‘non-geographic’ number) phone number?

2) What is the standing cost from the service provider for keeping such a facility available to the public?

3) Is there specific legislation required for government departments to use a premium rate phone number for their day-to-day activities?

For context but this may not be shared in the final response:

On the Jersey weather forecast page there is a premium rate phone line for speaking to the duty weather forecaster.

Response

1. What other departments in government have a premium rate (defined as incurring a cost to the caller via a ‘non-geographic’ number) phone number?

As the information requested is not held in a central register, to provide an answer to the request would require extraction and manipulation of data to produce new information. A Scheduled Public Authority (SPA) is not required to manipulate and create new data sets in response to a Freedom of Information request, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.
