Response

1. The department do not yet hold the information for September 2025 class sizes. Therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

The source of class sizes will be the pupil census which will be ready for October half term 2025.

The link below provides information on class sizes, which may be useful

2. The department do not yet hold the information for those placed in out of catchment areas starting in September 2025. Therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

3. Please find below a table for Primary Schools where we have room data such as floor area (sq.m) available. It should be noted that these figures and the room references are accurate for the current academic year (2024-2025). There is the possibility that the location of the reception classes could move from September 2025.

The department do not hold information on the sizes/areas of the outside provision for Reception children only. Therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
