A) I would like to know how many children from Jersey families are currently fostered in the UK, in the years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. 

B) I would also like to know how many children are currently fostered in Jersey, in the years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. 

C) Finally I would like to know if Jersey children are fostered in countries other than the UK. 

​D) Has the number of foster carers on the island decreased in the last 10 years? If so, by how many? 

This can broken down into the number of foster carers on the island for the years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

A) The table below shows the total number of children from Jersey who were fostered in placements by Jersey Children’s Social Care in the UK during each year requested.

Some children will be counted in multiple years.

C) There have been a small number of cases where children have been placed by Jersey Children’s Social Care with Connected Carers outside of the UK.

D) The data in Question E shows that the number of foster carers has increased over this time period.
